2011 NFL Preview Team #1 Miami Dolphins

Team Offense: 21th
Team Defense: 6th
Strength of Schedule (difficult): 10th
2010 record 7-9

We begin with the AFC East and cue Will Smith as we preview "Miami". Sorry Dolphin fans but I suspect it will be a miserable season to be a fan. Although my suspicions of Tony Sparano being on the phone with Dan Marino have proven false, he might be the best option at this point to bring in fans AND improve the offense. This year as in years past the Dolphins offense will be on the shoulders of an unproven quarterback (Chad Henne or Matt Moore) and with the loss of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams the dolphins add a rookie running back to the equation in the form of Daniel Thomas.

I like Thomas (he's a strong ROTY candidate as well as 1000 yard rusher) but I don't feel he can support an offense on his own and Henne has yet to show an ability to beat defenses who stack the box to stop the run. The defense was above average last season that may change this year with the loss of Channing Crowder. 1972 seems so long ago.

Surprise of the season: Thomas rushed for over 1000 yards

Biggest Disappointment: Miami's mix and match quarterbacks

Offensive MVP: Daniel Thomas

Defensive MVP: Channing Crowder He left? "Wait, what do mean he retired? he's 27!" Now hiring: Miami DC
Jordan Record Prediction: 4-12
Tyler Record Prediction 6-10
